What flight sim will everyone be migrating to. BoS. Star Citizen, or Elite Dangerous. I just about taken all the crappie I can HTC. Will wait in see what happens but I have emailed HTC and the answers I get back seem to think this is a fix all. Was wondering what games you guys might be migrating to. I wish WT would buy HTC leave it about the same game play with a few changes but lend their graphics. I just hate how I send a polite email to HTC and I get the bump off. So I might be saying goodbye to HTC in a few months

I don't know what I would migrate to. I've tried several other WW2 flight sims and none of them impressed me. I probably would leave WW2 flight sims forever, or until something new and just as good as AH2 used to be comes around. If HTC thinks this graphic update is going to fix everything then he's insane. It'll (at most) bring the numbers up slightly as old players return to check it out and new customers join after seeing some advertising, but then we'll see a steady decline again as none of the bugs in game are fixed and gameplay remains as stale as it is now.
Updating the graphics isn't going to fix the 30mm bug, dar bars not working 90% of the time, the 12 hour rule, or the HQ problem. Hopefully they see that and start cleaning up the bugs after the new update.
This game is awesome. It just has a few flaws that can easily be fixed.

I'm pretty excited for the new IL2. I'd also like to try out DCS since flying Su-27's and Mig 21/29's sounds like fun. Otherwise I guess i'll just keep on killing shit in EVE.

Hopefully they see that and start cleaning up the bugs after the new update. The more I think about it Latrobe the more convinced I am that the right move would be to do away with the entire gameplay structure and start over. Instead I would like to see the "Win the war" mechanics centered around objectives and targets mostly unrelated to places where aircraft/vehicles spawn. But it's probably a moot point.

I'll be done with games I think. This was the only genre that really interested me and Cactuskooler skinned my grandfathers B-25 in game so I kinda had some emotionL attachment here.
When this goes away, I will too.

IT would take such little effort from HTC IMO to be more flexible, and at least ATTEMPT to try some changes, and take what long term or effective players of the game are saying with something more than pure contempt. They have literally snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in the last few years. If HT and Skuzzy were hit by a bus, and somebody with any decent sense of marketing and gaming took over, the game could survive with it's existing physics and code by HT, and just go through the graphics revisions that are already under way by somebody else, and the entire product would be better for it.
I mean seriously, look at Eve online, another 15$ a month sub game, which is JUST as difficult, if not MORE so than AH to learn, particularly for new players. The developers constantly take players advice, rarely, if EVER engage in bbs fights with them, and so on. HTC being a tiny fraction in size has an entire website (FW) with hundreds of members all with the same story - they quit HTC due to personal conflict with HT or Skuzzy. That is RIDICULOUS. You can't find 5 guys from Eve online with that story, much less 500 like you can with HTC. And, Eve has at least 50x the subscribers, well over 100k at last count, likely more, as there is typically 30k online at any given time, compared to 250 with HTC. It should be plainly obvious to anyone that HTC is the problem, not everyone else. Yet you still have the cheerleaders like Ar-lo and Bustr who claim it's all the players problems, and HTC can do no wrong, as the sail along making no changes at all in the last 4 years, save a single tiny strat adjustment. Unreal.

They won't admit there's a problem until the sinking boat turns into a submarine.

Unreal. I take back everything nice I said about EVE. CCP's developers are on fucking crack and these new jump mechanics are going to ruin this game.

Quite possibly true, but it'll be their first real major blunder IMO over at Eve, and I would be confident enough to say that they would quickly identify the problem, and change back, or to something new (they've done so before). I realize that not all change is good, or makes everyone happy all the time, but it is still better than NO changes at all, which is what we get over at HTC.

Anyone play LOMAC? I've got it, but it's a download so I kinda doubt it would work online but I'm sure I could find one cheap. Main arena numbers are gonna be way down in 6 months when we're all dead thanks to some dumb fuck from africa.

I made a thread about a year ago talking about how Aces high helped me through unfortunate things in my life. I probably won't move to another game and I'll probably just fade away.

They won't admit there's a problem until the sinking boat turns into a submarine. But then all the groupies will scream in excitement, 'We finally got submarines!!!' 8) All kinda good games out there..
