I pointed out the fact that HTC spends more time, effort, and assets patrolling the BBS and enforcing their ridiculous and inconsistent rules than they do on their actual product. I explained back in that thread Grizz was banned in that I'd seen it before with one of the firearms companies I worked for, where the actual CEO became so focused on what people said about him and the company on the internet that it ended up being all he did all day long, and his company suffered greatly for it. HT and SKuzzy being ego maniacs as well as a slew of other odd mental issues = the current situation.

I counted today, over 30 posts in the last 12 hours Skuzzy moderated, and that's just the ones I found. He also sent me 5 PM's in a PM battle we had. I'll post it in quotes below.

I know Larue, not that well, but an old co worker of mine Kevin Boland who is now the military sales rep and military training rep for Knights Armament knows Larue very well. I'll have to bring this Skyyr tard up again when next we speak.

Anyhow here is my Skuzzy fight

My last 3 posts on the BBS have been rule #4d. Today I posted in the keeping players thread, telling somebody who suggested that a "softer touch" approach would work better. I quoted that, and told him he should go first, and that historically whenever players have been adamant about change, and tried arguing using the "soft logic touch", the eventual path led to PNG's for many, and suspensions and warnings for others. Here is the response I got from Skuzzy, and my responses back.




Sent as a PM after my moderation, with the title "by the way..."

Skuzzy - No one, in the history of the bulletin board and game has been PNG'ed for suggesting a change. No one.

Gman - I would also say that Grizz is only a single example of a single feature/request and the path it led to.

I'm sure you recall threatening over a dozen players with PNG for altering their signatures and avatars - were they not suggesting a change in the 12 hour rule policy? Perhaps it was being done in a way HTC disliked, but that was precisely what was being done. Suggesting a change. And many were threatened with PNG, so I'm at a loss as to how you can say nobody has ever been PNG'd over suggesting change here.

Gman - Alright then, so if I'm to start a thread requesting that either ENY or the 12 hour rule go, since I believe they completely contradict one another, and continue to argue the reasons why I believe this, and add things to my signature such as "12 hour must go", you're telling me I'm not going to be banned, or even threatened? If so, that's a complete departure, a total reversal of what happened previously during the last 12 hour fiasco. I have multiple posts made by yourself and HT directly telling players to change their signature or else, as well as multiple suspensions and PNGs issued for continuing to argue their points after being warned to stop. You essentially told many members to stop suggesting changes to the 12 hour rule, both in posts and in their signatures, or else. I again have to ask how this adds up to never banning anyone over requesting changes.

IF it will never happen as you just said, what would happen then if a few dozen like minded players all changed their avatars to the number 12 with the red circle and slash through it, as well as amended their signatures to say "part of Team No 12", and made regular posts with their opinions and evidence as to why they dislike the rule?

AND THEN, finally -

So Skuzzy responded to my last response this morning. He just cut and pasted his same "Nobody in the history of HTC has ever been banned for suggesting a change". Again. LOL, what a 5 year old, he can't argue because he knows I have him beat, and caught.

So, Gman's final PM to Skuzzy -

Uh huh.

So, if I put in my signature "Please Change the 12 hour rule back to one Hour", and then proceed to put in quotes underneath it, "No one was banned for requesting a change to the game. It has never happened and it never will. - Skuzzy", you're telling me I wouldn't be getting a PNG?

I've told them straight up several times that they are snatching defeat from the jaws of victory with their PR failures.

Yeah, I still have my threat from HT as well from a thread where I didn't do anything wrong. They were in such a mod frenzy they were zapping anything a Muppet said at one point no matter the content. Looked like they were building a chickenshit context case against us.

Unfortunately you can't read it anymore because the entire thread was heavily moderated and many many bans were handed out. It was back during the whole 12 hour rule debate that took the lives of many accounts. Much like Slash, I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong squad name attached to me. HTC was keeping a magnifying glass to anything Muppet related and we were getting our posts modded and our accounts banned for just about anything. All I did was post a dancing banana (yes, that was all I posted. If I'm lying may God all mighty strike me down where I stand... err sit) in reply to a post (don't remember what the post said but I'm willing to bet I was just posting a silly response to a friend as that's all I really do. I tend to try and steer well clear of the drama on the BBS). A few minutes later I get that PM from HiTech. A few minutes later another one of my posts is modded and I receive a 1 week ban (which lasted 2 weeks).

I did absolutely nothing wrong, I broke NONE of the BBS rules and yet HiTech in his hissy fit decided to ban everyone, me included.



Also, here's the joyful little PM I got from HTC after posting that dancing banana. I guess he had a traumatic experience with a banana when he was a child and now dancing banana's are his trigger.
