Unreal Latrobe. Thank you for taking the time to post that. I've been collecting HTC posts and PMs of interest since the 12 hour thing went down. As I said in that PM war with Skuzzy, I've kept a log and copy of all the relevant posts from them, as well as PMs. They'll remain anonymous so far as to whom they have been sent for obvious reasons (protecting players who still want to stick around), however I'm preparing an article to expose their horrid customer service and treatment of their customers, in the event that things get worse or I myself get the PNG someday. I can easily get it published on Simhq or various other gaming websites I've written for before.
I want to show the history of HTC, how great things were when they started out PR wise, and clearly demonstrate how they devolved into the nightmare that they are today. You guys will love it I'm certain of that much. I have quotes from Skuzzy prior to the implementation of all the rules, insulting/joking with people, talking politics, all kinds of stuff from the past. Then I also have multiple examples of complete hypocrisy, 180 inconsistent and unfair moderation, in addition to all the threatening PM's and posts from HTC. It paints a very clear picture of a company gone insane. I've shown my notes to a few people in the gaming world outside of this genre, Rahul Sood from my hometown that used to be CEO of Voodoo Gaming PCs and is with Microsoft gaming, as well a Min Leh (he wrote the Half Life mod Counterstrike originally) - they think it's so ridiculous and incredible that I've made it all up. Seriously.
If you've ever seen videos of HT and Skuzzy talking, or met them at a con or whatever, they are very odd ducks to begin with. Stuff that you and I or any normal business person would just ignore is stuff that they seize upon like a geek character written into a movie or TV show.
Just my opinion, I don't expect everyone to agree.

This is really interesting.
I'll tell you what Hitech's problem is.
HE runs this business as HIS own, HE creates all the codes. It is HIS game with HIS rules and in HIS world HE can do whatever HE pleases regardless of what those "idiotic don't know" customers that play HIS game think.
HE only makes changes that HE thinks will better HIS game. Customers play HIS game whether they like it or not, whether they have good ideas or want to make improvements, HE won't accept that because it wasn't HIS initial idea. HE does not like other people telling him how to create HIS game.
Secondly... HiTech and Skuzzy have little since about how "Business" works. They are not "business men" they are coaders, who are attempting to run a business. This is quite obvious while looking at their pathetic marketing + promotion efforts, pathetic PR, and pathetic customer service to people who have played this game for years on end. They have 0 negotiating skills, they do not want to hire consultants to help them establish a better business establishment. They think they can just do everything themselves, with a tiny team of people, to create the best flight sim around. But it is extremely obvious they need a tremendous amount of help from a business aspect. However, their EGOs deny the fact that they do not understand what is actually going on. They will not work with other developers, other gaming companies like steam to support their market. Skuzzy and Hiteck both believe they can make this game successful all by themselves with their own ideas and mock others who are willing to help.
Even the best companies in the world have financial and marketing consultants to help companies from an outside point of view. It pisses me off that Hitech and Skuzzy are so full of themselves in a business they can hardly operate, with no business skills, and yet still fully believe they have what it takes to become a massive WW2 online fighter sim like people wish to see.
Skyyr egoism at its finest ladies and gents.

I doubt marketing would have any effect at this point without major changes to almost every aspect of the game and company. McDonald's could dump every penny they have into marketing a Big Mac made with Two dog-shit patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions – on a sesame seed bun and it still wouldn't sell. HTC will have a similar problem trying to market a stale, dying game, mostly unchanged from the original 1999 release.
That being said I want HTC to turn it around. I want to see them listening to their customers and implementing the things that they want instead of treating them like loathsome peons in their little digital kingdom. I want to see 1000+ in the MA during primetime, I want them to make money, grow, and hire new people so they can coad bigger and better things for us to play with. Mostly I want to check the website six months from now and go "Wow! This looks amazing! Guess it's time to resubscribe!".
But I won't be holding my breath for any of that.

An MA with 1,000+ players would be awesome. Planetside 2 as an example can hold something like 2,000 players on each continent, and when it starts reaching the cap limit the fights on there are some brutally amazing fights! My game lags like hell and my FPS drops below 20 but it's epic! Imagine what HTC can do if they just get their heads out of their asses. Imagine what this game could be if they can turn it around. The most historically accurate flight modeling, dogfights of massive proportions, bomber raids in the dozens or even hundreds of planes, A new naval system with more sea action, a new ground unit system with highly accurate tank armor modeling and infantry units. There would simply be no other game on the market that could compete with AH2. War Thunder might try to keep up but I doubt they would ever be able to provide the MASSIVE multiplayer aspect that AH2 can. I would love to see this game succeed, the game is just amazing, but it's like HTC is trying to kill their own company on purpose. Oh well, it's THEIR company and they'll do with it as they please I guess.
